We’re thrilled to share a heart warming success story that’s sure to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step (or should we say, a swish in your tail?). Meet Simon, a 3-year-old domestic shorthair with a zest for life and a newfound appreciation for the comforts of home.

Simon’s adventure began when his concerned owner noticed some troubling signs: lethargy, loss of appetite, and breath that could curl whiskers from across the room.

Our very own Dr. Claire Wilson stepped in to unravel the mystery. Upon examination, Simon revealed a rogues’ gallery of symptoms, including mouth ulcers, a stuffy nose, and some very unhappy kidneys.

Blood tests showed kidney enzyme levels so high they were off the charts – literally! Our machines couldn’t even read them. Coupled with a

urinary tract infection, Simon was diagnosed with a double whammy: pyelonephritis (a kidney infection) and an upper respiratory infection. Talk about a cat-astrophe!

But fear not! Simon checked into our feline five-star hotel (also known as our hospital) for a four-day stay. He was treated to top level care, including intravenous fluids, antibiotics, and pain relief. Our dedicated team of vets and nurses showered him with TLC, proving that sometimes, the best medicine is a healthy dose of cuddles.

By day four, Simon’s kidney values had returned to normal, much to everyone’s delight. He strutted out of the hospital with a spring in his step and a twinkle in his eye. We’re happy to report that Simon is now thriving at home, back to his old tricks and presumably plotting world domination (as all cats do).

Simon’s journey reminds us of the resilience of our furry friends and the importance of prompt veterinary care. It’s stories like these that make our work so rewarding. Here’s to Simon, his devoted owner, and many more years of purr-fect health!
